Background Information
The majority of the Fiji Islands are mountainous and of volcanic origin. The biggest island is Viti Levu and is also the most developed and the most heavily populated island.
The Fiji Government treats both local and foreign investors alike and allows investment to be market driven. In view of the small size of the local market, industrial development is geared towards the establishment of export-oriented maunfacturing units. In principle, the Fiji Islands government will encourage any export-oriented project found suitable for location in Fiji provided they meet the investment criteria and conditions.
